INTRO / HOOK

This week our church was filled with children.

• Running.
• Singing.
• Laughing.
• Asking questions.
• Needing help.
• Trusting leaders.
• Jumping around as a form of worship..

And one thing VBS always reminds me is there is a tension going on between the joy of the kids and exhaustion of the volunteers.

I also notice that children usually do not walk into a room asking the kinds of questions adults ask. Children are usually not wondering,

• “Where do I rank?”
• “Who noticed me?”
• “Am I important enough?”
• “Do I have the right title?”
• “Am I being overlooked?”
• “Do they know how much I bring to the table?”

But adults ask those questions all the time.

• Maybe not out loud.
