INTRODUCTION
We recently got a puppy.
- And one of his favorite games is: “You can’t catch me.”
- It usually begins when he finds something he knows he should not have.
The moment he realizes I have noticed…
- he looks at me.
- I look at him.
- And then he takes off.
- Around the room.
- Under the table.
- Behind the furniture.
- Holding tightly to whatever he found.
Because in his mind: I have something. You want it. So I’m running.
- He does not understand that I may be trying to protect him.
- He only knows that the closer I get…
- the tighter he should hold.
And watching him, I started thinking: How often do we do the same thing with God?
- God draws near to us
- our money…
- our time…
