Palm Sunday is one of those moments in Scripture that can feel familiar.

• Jesus enters Jerusalem.
• Crowds gather.
• Cloaks are thrown down.
• Praise rises.
• The city is buzzing.

And if we are not careful, we can read it like a parade.

• A celebration.
• A moment of excitement.
• A religious holiday scene.

But Palm Sunday is much more than a parade.

• It is a revelation.
• It shows us who Jesus is.

And it exposes how easy it is to welcome Jesus emotionally while still misunderstanding Him spiritually.

• Because the crowd had a king in mind.
• They just did not fully understand the King who was coming.
• They wanted rescue.
• They wanted change.
• They wanted victory.
