INTRO – “THANKSGIVING WEEK IN FLORIDA”

How many of you know Thanksgiving in Florida just hits different?

• Families up north are wearing sweaters by the fireplace…
• Meanwhile, we’re sitting outside on the patio eating turkey in 84-degree humidity.
• We’re sweating through our flannels.
• We’re lighting “Autumn Breeze” candles trying to pretend we have seasons.
• People are posting pictures with pumpkins… next to palm trees.

But whether the weather changes or not — your heart has seasons.

• Some of us are in a season of peace.
• Some of us are in a season of pressure.
• Some walked in carrying joy…
• and some walked in carrying a lot of weight.

And here’s what I want you to hear before we go any further:

• Wherever you’re coming from — you’re welcome here.
• Whatever you’re carrying — you’re welcome here.
• Whatever your week looked like — you’re welcome here.
• This church doesn’t just celebrate Thanksgiving —we live it.

And we’re thankful to God because we know He’s been good to us…

• and we know He’s going to keep being good to us.
