Intro

At the start of the year, I planned to be gone for two weeks.

• Instead, I came home after one.
• Life rarely follows the script we write for it.

And suddenly the plan changes.

• the older I get, the more convinced I become that some of the most significant moments in our lives are the ones we never planned.
